    Palmspace is named after New Zealand's only indigeneous palm, the Nikau. This palm tree is common in West Auckland's Waitakerie Ranges. A palm flourishes because of it's deep roots allowing it to stand steadfastly in strong winds and draw water from deep. In fine weather and in bad, the Nikau is an impressive sight of towering beauty.
